Parallelograms
by Lynne Barr
From Knitting New Scarves:
In homage to Josef Albers, a painter who based his entire body of work on his theories of color perception, I offer the Parallelograms scarf. Rather than the squares that Albers is known for, I used parallelograms and Garter ridges to blend two colors of yarn to create what appears to be a third color. Knitting this scarf doesn’t require any special techniques, just knit, purl, increase, and decrease, and once you get started, you may find you don’t even need to refer to the pattern.
