These mitts are created using a parallelogram shape that wraps around your hand and snakes down around your arm. Each mitt consists of three main sections: increases at the beginning, straight knitting in the middle, decreases at the end.

These mitts are a perfect canvas for experimentation. Instructions are given for working the mitts in stockinette or garter stich, as preferred. However, as long as you keep the basic pattern shape in mind, these mitts can be made in any stitch pattern: ribbing, brioche, seed stitch, or even lace. You can also try using a contrasting colored yarn or silk ribbon to create a visible seam. Or make extra-long mitts and scrunch them up at the wrist for more warmth and insulation.
