Paralia, a pretty shawl, light and soft for spring.

Knit with a soft base color and a wonderful gradient of colors for stripes, it has a pretty motif pattern forming waves on a large part and ends with (undetectable) stripes worked with short rows creating a delicate and natural gradient part.
It has a asymetrical triangular shape (longer on the «gradient» part) and is worked from side to side. Its final size is 2m50 x 50 cm before wet-blocking, 2m60x60 cm after wet-blocking.

Material :

• Fingering / 4ply.
MC (main color) : between 460 et 490 m .
CC (contrasting color) : 70 m of each color (5 colors in total).

The design on pictures is knit with Mérisoie single from Lilyneige (530 m/100 g), Fraise Pistache for MC, and a gradient of « little lily», Helleborus color (1 to 5, 67 m/13 g) for CC.

• 3.75mm needles.

The gauge is not crucial for this design. Nevertheless, the single threads tend to enlarge easily than plied threads when wet-blocking. Keep in mind that this pattern needs a soft blocking but sufficiently to reveal the littles waves of the motif.

Tricoté avec une base unie douce et un joli dégradé de couleurs, on y retrouve un motif rayé ondulé, de jolies vagues dans un dégradé subtil. Le châle se termine par des rayures en rangs raccourcis qui passent totalement inaperçues, grâce à ce même dégradé, et permettent une finition toute en douceur. Le châle a une forme triangulaire asymétrique (plus long du coté dégradé) et se tricote d’une pointe à l’autre. Sa taille finale est de 2m50 x 50 cm avant blocage, 2m60x60 cm après blocage.

Matériel :

CP (couleur principale) : entre 460 et 490 m .
CC (couleur contrastante) : 70 m pour chaque couleur (5 couleurs au total).

Le modèle présenté a été tricoté en Mérisoie single de Lilyneige (530 m / 100 g), coloris Fraise Pistache pour la CP, dégradé de Little Lily (67 m /13 g), coloris Helleborus (1 à 5) pour les CC.

• Une paire d’aiguilles 3.75mm

L’échantillon n’est pas primordial pour ce châle. Néanmoins, les fils single ont tendance à plus se détendre et à s’étirer facilement au blocage. Ce modèle réclame un blocage en douceur mais suffisant pour mettre en valeur les petites vagues que forment le motif fantaisie.
