Pantomime
Pantomime is worked top down in a rib eyelet pattern.
At first cast on for the neckband in rib, then stitches are picked up along the neckband, to form the beginning of the back and the front bands.
Raglan increases are worked on both sides of the 6-stitch wide raglan, all the way down the yoke.
When the yoke and all raglan increases are done, the work is divided into body and sleeves and each part is finished separately.
When working the body, increases are made in both sides to get a beautiful A-line shape.
The sleeves are worked in the round, either on double pointed needles or on a long circular needle using magic loop.
Even at the height of summer, it’s usually a good idea to bring a snug, light cardigan for a summer evening at Tivoli Gardens.
This is Else Schjellerup’s take on a Tivoli cardigan. It is tight-fitting, has as light A-shape and is meant to hang loosely without buttons but can also be wrapped around and fastened with a brooch.
