Pankow Hat
This hat is knit from the bottom up, mostly in the round. First both earflaps are worked back and forth, then the final head circumference is cast on between earflaps to work the hat in the round. The stranded color work band instructions are both charted and written, line by line. Lastly, stitches are picked up from the earflaps for the I-cord ties, embellished with pom poms.
Two hanks of Berroco Ultra Alpaca will make two hats, reversing the colors.
