Palila shawl
I knitted my sample from a Yarnz2go knit kit
Palila is Tahitian for “with a spirit as free as a bird“
Bright inspiring colors in our specialty yarns create the crescent shape and truly let us imagine the wings of tropical birds.
The shawl is knitted from the top down, ever growing with a lovely eyelet lace edge in our Lightly skeins as shown here in a new color way called “Psychedelic”.
The bottom border shows off a totally fun to knit Polka Dot Lace pattern, done with a skein of Delicate in color way
“Lagoon”.
Together, these colors compliment each other just beautifully. Check out a few more color combinations in the photos, with many more to explore in the Yarn link above…..
The pattern is fully written and also offers a lace chart.
The blocked shawl measures 76” along the bottom border and 17” in middle height.
Yarn used here
C1 - A skein of Lightly with 7 color and texture changes in fingering and lace weights. 238 yards.
C2 - A skein of Delicate with 3 lace weights in as many colors wound together, creating a sport weight. 220 yards.
