Palessie is a marshy region lining the Pripyat River in Southern Belarus, Northern Ukraine, and partly in Poland and Russia.

Palessie cowl is an airy summery cowl with beautiful and simple lace pattern that changes direction from repeat to repeat. The cowl is seamless.

Finished Size:
The sample cowl after blocking measures 74cm (29 inches) long and 32cm (12.6 inches) wide. You can easily make your cowl bigger or smaller by changing the number repeats.

Gauge:
The gauge is not critical in knitting this cowl. Adjust your needle size to suit your yarn and achieve the size and the look of the cowl of your choice. Keep in mind that lace pattern grows significantly in size after blocking.

Yarn:
400 yards (457.2 m) of Pigeonroof Studios Silken Sock (80% merino/20% silk, 4ply fingering weight) yarn in colorway Plumeria was used for the sample cowl.

Needles:
US 5-3.75 mm 36” (91 cm) circular needles.
