Among the pavilions of Expo 2020 Dubai, Terra deserves a mention. The project of Grimshaw Architects integrates technology and construction systems inspired by nature to create a model designed for zero environmental impact regeneration of the built environment, with the possibility of inhabiting hostile environments as the Middle Eastern desert without energy consumption. This hat features a twisted rib texture inspired to the Energy Trees that support the photovoltaic canopies.

Tra i padiglioni di Expo 2020 Dubai merita una segnalazione Terra. Il progetto di Grimshaw Architects integra tecnologia e sistemi costruttivi ispirati alla natura per realizzare un modello destinato alla rigenerazione a zero impatto ambientale dell’ambiente costruito, con la possibilità di abitare ambienti ostili come il deserto mediorientale senza consumo di energia.
Il cappello è organizzato attorno ad una rigida struttura di maglie a diritto ritorto, i cui intrecci riprendono i motivi degli Energy Trees che sorreggono le tettoie fotovoltaiche.
