Gauge (after blocking)
For size S only:
22 stitches & 26 rows = 4” / 10 cm in St st with US 4 (3.5mm) needle after blocking.
For size M only:
20 stitches & 24 rows = 4” / 10 cm in St st with US 6 (4mm) needle after blocking.

Note
Socks are knit from the cuff down towards toe. Heel is shaped using decreases and picked up sts. Pattern is written for two sizes, S and M. The two sizes are achieved by knitting the same pattern at a different gauge using different sized needles. Swatch with recommended needles for your chosen size, and adjust needle size if necessary.
Yardage amounts are based on a foot length of 9½” / 24 cm. Additional yardage may be required for longer socks. Instructions are written for the Magic-Loop method.

Note
履き口から編む靴下. かかとは減目と拾い目で作る. 針サイズを変えることで2サイズ編むことができる. サイズごとの推奨針でスワッチを編んでみて, 必要ならば針の太さを変えると良い. 必要糸量は, 女性用足長24 cmを基準にしているため, 足長を変える場合は余分に糸が必要となる. 編み方はマジックループの技法を使って説明している.
