The cardigan has a classic kimono shape with ¾ long wide sleeves. Pattern and colors are inspired by the traditional Japanese dyeing technique ikat, but the pattern is also a traditional Faroese pattern.
And finally, the stylized cross and circle pattern (OXO) is one of the very early Fair Isle patterns.
I have chosen the cardigan to be called OXO, but maybe it should be called Globalization.
The cardigan is knitted around with stranded knitting and steeked and cut before knitting sleeves and the front edge.
The model in the picture is knitted in Blackhill Silkwool, but other yarn qualities, e.g. Blackhill Highland Wool or Linwool will be suitable.
The pattern contains description for four sizes.
chest width 110 - 125 - 140 - 155 cm
lengh 59 - 60 - 62 - 63 cm
yarn supplies
500 - 500 - 550 - 600 g

Knitting needles:
Circular needles size 2.5 - 3 and 3.5 mm.
Double pointed needles size 2.5 and 3 mm for the sleeves.
Needle size 4 mm for the folding edge of the bands.
Tension:
26 stitches x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm (stranded knitting on needle size 3.5 mm)
