Oxford Circus is a small asymmetric shawl knit from side to side. Rows of yarn overs and elongated stitches show off the pretty colors of a variegated yarn, while two stripes in a contrasting color form an eye-catching detail. The shawl’s shape is created through increases along the outer edge and decreases along the top edge. It is easy to add extra length to the shawl and the pattern includes instructions on how to do so. Oxford Circus is knit in a fingering weight yarn.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Length along top edge after blocking: 50 inches or 127cm.
Depth from top edge to bottom edge at deepest point after blocking: 14 inches or 35.5cm.

MATERIALS NEEDED
Fingering weight yarn, amount similar to amount listed above for the shawl pictured.
Approximate yardage:
MC: 310yds or 285m.
CC: 50yds or 45m.
29-inch (or larger) US #6/4mm circular needle or size needed to obtain gauge.
Darning needle.

GAUGE
16 sts/32 rows = 4 x 4 inches in garter stitch AFTER BLOCKING. Gauge is not crucial for this project, however, to get the dimensions of the shawl pictured it is best to obtain gauge.
