Oxford is the classic round neck cardigan. A true wardrobe staple, it stands out with its modern construction and high-end details.

It is knitted seamlessly from the top-down. The construction technique ensures a flattering shoulder shape without the need for short rows to create the set-in sleeve. The button band is worked in double knitting, providing excellent structure and a refined, couture-like look.

Oxford can be made with or without a front motif. It can be knitted in its simplest form, in a single color. For a touch of boldness, opt for the version featuring an Argyll pattern on the front. The base diamond motif is worked in intarsia, while the Xs are embroidered at the end using the duplicate stitch technique.

You can knit this pattern with DK-weight yarn or by holding a fingering weight yarn double with a lace weight mohair yarn.

For the intarsia version only :

• For the intarsia diamonds, you will need one 50 g skein of Sunday by Sandnes Garn in color 8236 Statement Green AND one 25 g skein of Tynn Silk Mohair by Sandnes Garn in color 8236 Jelly Bean Green. You can also use approximately 50 g of DK weight yarn.

• For the embroidered Xs, you will need less than 20 g of Sunday by Sandnes Garn in color 5591 Night Sky and less than 10 g of Tynn Silk Mohair by Sandnes Garn in color 5581 Deep Navy. You can also use less than 20 g of DK weight yarn.

Oxford, c’est le classique cardigan à col rond. Véritable intemporel de la garde-robe, ce dernier se distingue par sa construction moderne et ses finitions dignes des grandes boutiques.

Il est tricoté du haut vers le bas, sans couture. La technique de construction utilisée assure une silhouette flatteuse aux épaules sans avoir à utiliser des rangs raccourcis pour former la manche montée.
