The Oxbow Pullover is worked in two different directions. First, the sleeves and yoke are worked from side to side, then stitches are picked up and worked down to the hem. The two-toned yarn adds depth to the sculptural cable pattern, and an I-cord edging creates a clean edge along the cuffs and hem.

Yarn Zealana Performa Rimu DK (60% fine New Zealand Merino wool, 40% brushtail possum; 140 yd 128 m/ 1 ¾ oz 50 g): #R23 Kakariki Blue, 11 (12, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17) balls.

Needles Size 6 (4 mm): 16” and 24–32” circular (cir), depending on size you are making. Size 7 (4.5 mm): 24–32” cir, depending on size you are making. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

NOTES

• This pullover is worked in two sections. The yoke is worked in one piece from side to side, beginning with the right sleeve cuff and ending with the left sleeve cuff. Then stitches are picked up from the side edge of the yoke and the lower body is worked in the round from the top down.

• When working the shaping, if there are not enough stitches to work a complete cable, work the remaining stitches in stockinette instead.
