A pretty, yet practical, potholder measuring around 7” square which is then hung diagonally.

YOU WILL NEED 75 m (80 yards) dishcloth cotton in DK thickness, a 3.50 mm hook, a needle for neatening ends and 8 x 1.25 cm (½”) diameter buttons.

If you intend to stand hot pans on this item, take care to select buttons that won’t melt!

Hook and yarn may be varied. However, please note, this may change the finished size of the potholder and the size of the buttons required.

Very thin yarns, may make a pretty hanging, but are likely to be impractical as a potholder.
