Do you see holes between two twisting ribbons? What colour are the holes? Or are there three ribbons?
Intertwining columns of hexagons create this interesting optical illusion afghan. Depending on the colours chose, you may see different effects.
The garter stitch shapes are very simple to make and join together, in any yarn of your choice. The original afghan is just over a metre square but you can go on adding more shapes until you have the size you want … or run out of yarn.
As with most Woolly Thoughts patterns, the booklet comes with a colouring sheet so you can try out your own colour combinations. It also shows several alternative designs to make with the same shapes.
Read the story of this afghan on Ravelry or on Woolly Thoughts web site.
