When Otto plays with his food, it’s just too adorable for
anyone to be mad at him. This huggable otter has charm to
spare! With his rounded bobble toes and curled little tail - all
the cute details will bring you as much joy while making Otto
as the recipient recieving him! joy as you make them!

Otter is worked in spiral rounds.

Use a stitch marker to keep track of beginning of rounds.

Otter is worked from the top of the head down, increasing to
form shoulders, and then skipping stitches to form armholes.
Continuing to work down through the body, one leg is worked,
then yarn joined to the body again to work the other leg.

Feet are made separately in the round with bobbles (worked
in two rounds) for toes. Feet are stuffed and later sewn to
legs. Arms are worked separately and stitched into armholes.
Muzzle, ears, paw pads, and belly patch are made separately
and stitched to head/feet/body.

Otter’s tail is worked top-down in the round, working in rows
below (as directed) to create the tail curve.

Fish is made in the round from nose to tail. Side fins are made
separately and stitched to sides of body.

Safety eyes are added as head is worked, and nose, mouth,
whiskers, and eyebrows are embroidered. Fish eyes and
mouth are embroidered.

The eraser end of a pencil or the handle of a crochet hook
can be helpful for stuffing small spaces.
