I knitted the Oswald overall for my baby this winter. He wears it indoors this winter and it will be perfect as an outdoor garment when the sunny spring days arrives.
This hooded overall is buttoned on the front. It’s knitted in the round, one piece bottom up construction. We start with the legs, assembled on a needle to build the body ( you can choose to had a colorwork bunny tail ). We knit the sleeves separately, we assemble them to the body, then we work the raglan yoke and the hoodie. The ears are knitted separately and sewn on the hood.

Main color ( MC ) : body and sleeves, you’ll need approximately: 536 601 656 733 766 yards / 490 550 600 670 700 m Contrasting color ( CC) (hem and inside of the ears) : 131 164 197 230 252 yards / 120 150 180 210 230 m

• Suggested needles : US 8/5 mm - 32”/80 cm to 40”/100 cm circular needles or preferred needles for small circumference knitting ( magic loop or DPNs)

• Notions : Stitch markers, scrap yarn, cable needle, tapestry needle, scissors, 6-7 buttons, hook

• Gauge : 17 sts and 22 rows : 4”/10 cm (Measured over stockinette stitch after blocking)

J’ai tricoté la combinaison Oswald pour mon bébé cet hiver. Il la porte à l’intérieur pour le moment et elle sera parfaite comme vêtement d’extérieur quand les beaux jours arriveront.
C’est une combinaison à capuche, boutonnée sur le devant. Elle se tricote en bottom-up, c’est a dire de bas en haut. Il faut commencer par les jambes, tricotées en rond, et assemblées sur une aiguille pour construire le corps ( auquel vous pouvez choisir d’ajouter une queue de lapin en jacquard ). On tricote ensuite les manches, assemblées au corps, puis l’empiècement raglan et pour finir la capuche. Les oreilles de lapin sont tricotées à part et cousues sur la capuche.
