Ostara Meditation Scarf
Welcome to the second pattern of Year of Meditations! This design is for Ostara, which is March 21. Beginning the scarf at Imbolc should allow enough time to complete your project and have the chance to wear your scarf while celebrating balance on Ostara. Included is a mini-magazine with a recipe, information about bears, and a meditation. May it bring you a feeling of stability and groundedness.
This is a wonderfully simple design of cables that have enough repetition to be meditative while still keeping your interest to the end. The design represents the the shambling path of a bear. It would look great with tonal, gradient and handspun.
You’ll need a skein of yarn (between 275-375 yards, depending on the length you make) and your favorite needles. You also might like to have handy your favorite mug of coffee or tea, a bouquet of flowers, or even a happy song list playing in the background.
Yarn
Any weight yarn will work with this as long as your gauge (yarn/needle combination) creates a fabric that will drape nicely around your neck. This pattern will work well with any gradient, solid, or semisolid colors.
