Oscar Chunky Cabled Bobble Hat
By popular demand you can also knit my super popular Oscar Bobble Hat in Chunky (US Bulky) yarns too!
This bobble hat has a simple cable repeat pattern which makes it the perfect project for a new knitter who is ready to explore cable knits!
This knitting pattern has instructions for the following sizes:
Newborn, Baby/Toddler, Child 2-8 years, Child 8-12 years, Teen/Adult
The hats shown here have been knitted with Valley Yarns Extrafine Superwash Bulky Merino Wool - Sold in 100gm balls. Available via LoveCrafts.com (UK) and Yarn.com (US).
You can also choose any Chunky (US Bulky) yarns that recommend 6mm (US10) needles.

Measurements
This cabled hat has a lot of stretch due to the ribbed knit throughout the hat.

Newborn / 22-30cm / 14cm
Baby/Toddler / 28-40cm / 17cm
Child / 2-8 yrs / 32-48cm / 19cm
Child / 8-12 yrs / 38-54cm / 22cm
Teen/ Adult / 42-60cm / 23cm
You will need:
47 (78, 95, 140, 180) gm Valley Yarns Extrafine Superwash Bulky Merino Wool
NOTE: When choosing alternative chunky (US Bulky)
Choose Chunky/Bulky yarns that recommend 6mm (US 10) needles and work to the same stocking stitch tension as listed above
NOTE: Refer to the yardage/meterage below when using alternative yarns
