This pattern was originally published as Knotty Lamb’s contribution to the 2024 Rose City Yarn Crawl, March 7-10, 2024 in Portland, Oregon. This pattern is also included in the e-book download as part of the 2024 Pattern Collection: Pacific Northwest Flora & Fauna
This comfortable and stylish cowl features a leaf motif reminiscent of the leaves of the Oregon Ash Tree. This cowl is knit mostly in the round following a simple stranded colorwork chart.
Yarn
The Fibre Co Amble in Scafell Pike (220 yards), Saddleback Slate (65 yards), and Buttermere (65 yards) OR any fingering weight as follows:
MC – 60g / 220 yards / 201 meters
CC1 – 20g / 65 yards / 60 meters
CC2 – 20g / 65 yards / 60 meters
Needles
US 4 (3.5mm) 16” circular needles
Gauge
24 sts and 34 rows = 4” in stockinette stitch after blocking
