Opus 1100
Note: this sock was designed for sock-blank dyers, but any narrow-striped 4-ply/light fingering yarn can be used.
Description from pattern:
Narrow-striped, mid-calf sock with a chevron stitch panel at the front. This sock was designed to exploit the possibilites of sock-blank dyeing, and to manipulate yarn which is space-dyed with narrow stripes. There are two separate patterns for knitting cuff-down and toe-up, and both patterns include options to knit the sock with a small, medium or large number of sts per row. You can further adjust the width of the sock by using one of two needle sizes. That gives a total of 2 styles, 2 sock-knitting methods and 5 width-adjustments. Foot length is infinitely adjustable.
Gauge
Above gauge is for small and medium sizes on 2.5mm needles. Gauge for large size is 28 sts per 4 in on 2.75 mm needles.
