Ophelia is a timeless sweater designed to be worn often and for many years.

All the stitches you need to knit your own Ophelia:

It has a classic silhouette with a beautifully shaped shoulder that almost resembles a set-in sleeve, yet it is worked seamlessly from the top down. The construction allows you to try it on as you knit and adjust the length of both body and sleeves to suit you.

The cable pattern combines elegant diamond motifs with rhythmic twists that quickly become intuitive to knit. Although the texture looks intricate, the repeats are easy to memorize and there are calm sections of simple knit and purl stitches in between. Small bobbles add depth and character, but they can be omitted for a cleaner expression.

Reverse Stockinette panels along the sides create quiet structure and allow the cables to stand out.

Ophelia is designed for everyday wear. It works just as well with jeans as with tailored trousers or layered over a dress. Choose between a short ribbed neckline, a folded collar, or a funnel neck depending on how you prefer to style it.

The pullover can be knitted in a single strand of DK weight yarn for a crisp and defined fabric, or with fingering weight yarn held together with silk mohair for a softer finish.
