Size 10 cotton crochet thread (bedspread weight) in main color and three contrasting colors. Shoes shown were made with J&P Coats Royale Classic Crochet #10:

One ball of each color contains ample thread to make all shoes shown. Each pair of shoes requires about 35 yards sole color, about 50 yards upper color, and small amounts of contrasting colors for edging, butterflies, flowers or fish.
