A super bulky yarn is needed for this pattern, such as Lion Brand’s Thick and Quick or Stylecraft’s Special XL Super Chunky. It is also possible to achieve the required gauge by holding several strands of yarn together. Yarn usage varies from 45g / 28yds to 140g / 88yds depending on chosen size.
