This large, crescent shawl provides a lot of texture using fairly simple knit and purl combinations. Choose soft and muted or bold and contrasting colors to reflect your personality. Instructions are given for both Sport and DK weight yarn options.
The shawl begins with a garter tab cast on, and radiates outward, with increases at both sides and along the center. Slip stitch color work divides the main color sections, and requires working only 1 color at a time.
The full shawl uses 7 colors. An addendum provides suggestions for reducing the design to 5 colors, as well as a guide for selecting the order of colors.
Instructions for making a smaller shawl by eliminating one of the large solid color sections, are included.
