The One Extra Crazy crochet hat is a striped crochet hat in worsted weight yarn with puff texture. Stripe as many or as few colors as you like in this beautifully textured accessory.

Construction details The One Extra Crazy crochet hat is worked from the crown towards the brim in a mixture of colors and crochet stitches.

Skills necessary

• Magic ring
• Crochet increasing
• Basic crochet stitches (ch, sc, hdc, dc, yo)
• Making a puff stitch
• Working into the back of a hdc
• Front post double crochet
• Weaving in ends

Sizes: Adult Medium

Finished measurements: 20”/51 cm circumference and 9.5”/24 cm depth when laid flat.

Gauge: 16 sts and 16 rounds = 4”/10 cm in puff and stripe pattern using size hook to obtain gauge.

Hook: H/5 mm crochet hook. Adjust hook size as necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Yarn: 235 total yards of worsted weight (CYCA #4) yarn in an assortment of colors.

Sample made with Yarn Snob “A Wondrous Worsted” (100% superwash merino wool, 218 yds /100 g) in the Festival of Lights set of 8 colors, 54 yds/25 g each.
