Here is an all-knowing octopus to grace your place. The suckers are knitted as you go, and there is very little seaming to be done. He does have 8 arms though, so that is a lot of suckers - but not nearly as many as a real, living octopus.

An adventurous intermediate knitter could try this pattern. There is some knitting in the round with w&t in the head section, and a tiny amount of Kitchener stitch (just 4 sts). Once you’ve done a few suckers they become quite easy.

He is knitted in fingering weight yarn and although I used size 4 (3.5 mm) needles you should use whatever size will give you a nice firm fabric so that the stuffing doesn’t show through. He requires 310 yds / 77g fingering weight yarn. You’ll also need some pipe cleaners (chenille sticks) a set of double point needles and a 16” (40 cm) circular needle.
