“The Shetland Isles have been famous for their shawls for centuries, and the ‘jumper wool’ shawls often had borders using all the shades of natural undyed wool. This shawl is knitted in the traditional way, from separate sections which are grafted together. The border features the famous Old Shell pattern, and a pointed lace edging.”
Yarn requirements:
This shawl is knitted in Shetland 2ply jumper wool which is the equivalent of a fingering weight wool
6 oz black
2 oz charcoal
2 oz dark grey
2 oz mid grey
2 oz pale grey
2 oz cream
