Old Salt is a lace shawlette, knit in one piece from the center-top outward. It starts out as a striped triangle knit flat and transitions to a cowl in the round. With both charts and written instructions, knitters will be able to choose their most comfortable way to follow the pattern. Perfect way to knit a shawl that will stay where you want it on your neck.
Yarn
MC: Approx. 275 yards of dk weight yarn
CC: Approx. 75 yards of dk weight yarn

Needle
1 US size 6 (4 mm), 24-inch circular or length preferred for weight of yarn
Notions
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
Stitch markers for marking center stitch and/or edgings
Gauge
24 sts/36 rows = 4 inches in stockinette on US size 6 needles
Exact gauge is not important but do note that a looser gauge will result in the use of more yardage

18” down spine, 6” at back of neck and 16” at neck opening
