Oksa-scarf

Oksa is a triangular-shaped scarf, worked flat from one narrow end to the other. The pattern comes in three sizes. The smallest S-size is a cute mini-scarf. The larger M-size is long enough to be wrapped around the neck twice. With the L-size, you will knit a cozy winter shawl that falls on the shoulders.

The scarf shown in the photos is size M and the smaller one (white) size S.

The stitch pattern is garter stitch. The scarf is shaped triangular using M1r increases and k2tog decreases on the second half. The playful cable braid is made with dropped stitches along the long side of the scarf. This technique is not difficult, and you can find a tutorial video of this cable on the Piia Maria Knit YouTube channel.

Oksa is a practical and charming accessory for many occasions, knitted from DK-weight yarn. The cable braid stands out best when made of round and smooth yarn.
