My Oh Jolly Trio! are amigurumi patterns for intermediate crocheters but would also suit advanced beginners with amigurumi experience. Sold as a trio, you will receive 1 PDF download containing the three patterns which requires software like Adobe Reader to open (this is free to download).

The patterns are written in English using US (American) terms and my finished toys measure 10-11cm (approx. 4 inches) tall. Your crochet tension, yarn and hook size used will determine the size of your finished items.

You will need:

• 2.75mm hook/C-2 (US)
• 8ply yarns/DK or Light Worsted, less than 50g in each colour
• BLACK embroidery thread or 4ply yarn
• 3 pairs of 6mm safety eyes
• Scissors
• Tapestry needle
• Polyester toy stuffing
• Stitch marker (optional)

Notes:

• Amigurumi is usually stitched in the round and a yarn with no stretch is best.
• When changing colour, pull through the new colour on the stitch before you need it. This will ensure that you have the correct colour yarn on the hook for the upcoming stitch.
• Generally, the hook you use for amigurumi will be a smaller than for other crochet as you want the stitches tight.
• I’ve used the following yarns: o PINK = Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK in Col. 450 Candyfloss Pink o LILAC = Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK in Col. 442 Dusty Rose o PURPLE = Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK in Col. 443 Tea Rose o ORANGE = Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK in Col. 409 Light Caramel o GREEN = Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK in Col. 426 Spearmint Green o BLUSH = Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK in Col. 451 Bubblegum Pink
• I have used plastic safety eyes but you may choose to embroider the eyes. Please ensure that there are no loose fittings.
