I never understood mitts… till I wore a pair. How can something that’s open on the end keep my hands so warm? If you’re like me, you’re busy and need your hands at all times… and you also don’t have a lot of spare time to knit. Fortunately, these DK mitts with an intuitive slipped-stitch pattern will be a snap to work up in your off hours.
Sizes (mitt circumference: choose a size 1” smaller than actual
hand circumference)
- 1: 4”/10 cm
- 2: 4.75”/12 cm
- 3: 5.75”/15 cm
- 4: 6.5”/17 cm
- 5: 7/18 cm”
- 6: 7.75”/20 cm
Yarn Requirements (includes 15% buffer)
- 1: 75 yards/69 m
- 2: 100 yards/92 m
- 3: 115 yards/105 m
- 4: 120 yards/110 m
- 5: 125 yards/114 m
- 6: 140 yards/128 m

Needles
US 3 and 5 (3.25 and 3.75 mm) needles for knitting a small circumference in the round, or sizes needed to obtain gauge
Blocked Gauge
22.5 stitches and 34 rounds = 4”/10 cm in stockinette in the round using larger needles
Tools
- 3 stitch markers
- stitch holders or waste yarn for the thumb
- tapestry needle for weaving in ends
