Evoking the feeling of waves on the ocean, this narrow shawl is fully reversible. The pattern is especially suited for hand painted yarns as the color changes flow lengthwise across the undulating stitches.
This pattern is extremely flexible and can be used with a variety of weights or types of yarns. It’s perfect for unknown amounts of yarn as you can knit until the yarn runs out, and end up with a scarf, stole, shawl, or blanket. It could be knit with a smaller cast on and knit as a long, narrow rectangle. This pattern uses laceweight yarn and a cast on of 305 stitches to make a stole approximately 49”/124 cm long. And or subtract groups of 80 stitches in the cast on to make a wider or narrower pattern.
