I love the drive along Highway 101, especially through Oregon. Winding along the rocky coastline, every now and then I can catch a glimpse of crystal blue through the dark, fractured pines. Quite suddenly, a break in the trees will give an unimpeded view of the immense ocean and sky. The startling beauty takes my breath away. The stitch pattern in this luxurious cowl reminds me of that drive – curves intermingled with strong lines of twisted rib.

Yarn: Dream in Color - Smooshy with Cashmere (70% super wash merino wool, 20% fine cashmere, 10% nylon, 400 yards/100g). Sample used 300 yards/75 grams and was knit in the color String and Key

Needle: US Size 4 (3.5 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge

Gauge: 32 sts and 40 rows over 4” (10 cm) before blocking
