This simple rib hat is a great basic for everyone’s winter wardrobe…. With 10 size options you could knit a hat for the whole family!

The deep turned up cuff and simple gathered crown give this hat a contemporary look… and it’s the perfect easy-knit project for new knitters!

Separate detailed instructions are included to knit this hat either FLAT on a pair of SINGLE POINTED needles / or IN THE ROUND on DPNs or FIXED CIRCULARS

The ribbed hats shown here have been knitted in Sirdar Snuggly Double Knitting but you can choose any DK that recommends 4mm (US6) needles and knits to a stocking stitch tension of 22sts / 30 rows to 10cms/4inches

NOTE: As this hat is knitted in rib it requires a smaller needle to knit this structure in DK (US Light worsted) yarns. This smaller needle size will give you a neat rib with elasticity and memory (it will bounce back).
