The Novelist Pullover takes us on a lovely walk to our favourite indie bookstore in a seaside town, to listen to a reading by a beloved author followed by lunch at a fabulous sandwich shop. Repeated cable motifs suggest ocean channels and the flow of the waters around islands. These traditional cables lend a heritage aspect to this classic, 1950’s style raglan. The honeycomb, the spinning top and bobble are all time-honored themes we’ve used to represent nature for centuries, and are the perfect thing to keep us busy on a lovely long weekend of knitting.

from the provisional cast-on at the hem and cuffs are picked up
for a matching i-cord cast-off.
