Its no secret that I’m not a massive fan of granny squares – even my personal instagram handle is @notsogranny because I didn’t want my crochet to be associated with this motif! I always associate them with the dodgiest of crochet fashions. However, one of the reasons that I love laceweight yarn is that it lends a finesse to even the simplest of stitches. The change in scale makes this sometimes clunky crochet standard look elegant and interesting. The addition of some bobbles elevates it further. Its a great pattern for laceweight as you work into spaces so no fiddly stitch tops to find.
The wrap shape is ideal for snuggling around your neck in winter or throwing over your shoulders in the summer.
