Soft and textured, Northern Sky is knitted from the bottom up. The open star stitch creates a light and airy fabric with fluffy textural interest, especially with cashmere yarn. The size is adjustable, so you can make it exactly the size you want. This shawl is a relaxing and meditative knit, with a simple rhythm that is easily memorised after the first few repeats.

6 balls of Cardiff Cashmere Classic (100% cashmere; 112 m / 122 yds per 25 g). Shown in colour Mosè.

Or approximately 672 m / 732 yds of similar DK weight yarn.

NEEDLES
Size 5 mm / US 8 needles or size to obtain pattern gauge

This shawl is worked flat, but I recommend using 80-100 cm / 32-40 inch circular needles to accommodate the growing number of stitches.
