I wanted to create a feminine and casual hat and mitts that would be easy to knit and be beautiful to wear.
The Northern Lights yarn is perfect for this design because it’s lofty and the fibre content makes it warm, light and durable.

Northern Lights Hat
A lace aran-weight beanie hat knit in the round from the bottom up.

Northern Lights Mitts
A pair of lace aran-weight mitts knit in the round. The knitting starts at the cuff with a wide ribbed pattern, working into a lace pattern over the hand and with thumb gusset shaping.
