North Star Cardigan
This cardigan was photographed upside down. It is shown with the bottom edge facing up- what would have been a deep shawl collar makes the ‘yoke’ as it is shown here. Proving that this versatile piece can be worn multiple ways
Yarn

alpaca, 8% nylon): 109 yd 100 m/1

Adjust needle sizes if necessary to obtain the correct

Gauges

larger needles.
15 sts and 22 rows = 4” (10 cm) in St st with larger

Notes
Body is a rectangle worked from right front to left front without shaping. The lower body is then picked up and worked down. The sleeves are worked down in the round so there are no seams to sew.
NOTE: In the book this cardigan was photographed upside down. The Editors changed the pattern to match the photography but it is misleading. To avoid confusion note that this piece is shown in the book with the bottom edge facing up. The first section of the pattern should be labeled FRONTS/YOKE. The second section of pattern should be labeled LOWER BODY. The schematic is also mislabeled.
