North Hills Socks
by Rohn Strong
I just love a sweet pair of yellow socks. Call me crazy, but they remind me of walks through the French countryside on a warm summer day, eating an ice cream cone. I say this as a lactose-intolerant man who doesn’t wear lace socks and has never been to France.
These socks are constructed using one of my favorite heels, which provides a great fit and simple gusset construction. They work up in a flap and can be customized to fit a wide array of sizes, thanks to the super-stretchy and supportive linked half double crochet sole.
These cuff-down socks are worked with a standard wedge toe, basic heel flap, and a single crochet in the back loop rib.
