I wanted to create a pattern of my favourite way of making a colourwork yoke cardigan with no extra faff. It’s worked top-down in the round with a simple colourwork motif and a lot of stockinette that I worked on while having a cuppa with friends. I then photographed the cardigan at the wonderful Leadenhall Market in London.

I hope you will enjoy this pattern, and if you need any help, please do not hesitate to contact me in my Ravelry group ‘Skeindeer Knits’. It’s the best place for swift support. Happy knitting!

Construction
This simple colourwork cardigan is worked seamlessly in the round, top-down, with a steek along the centre front. There is short-row shaping at the top and bottom of the yoke to make it sit higher on the back than the front.

The rest of the cardigan is worked in plain stockinette stitch in the round, with no shaping, finishing off with rib for both the sleeves and the body. Finally, you pick up stitches for the buttonbands and work these flat.
