A short-sleeved item, variously described as a jacket and a blouse but closest to a modern tight-fitting cardigan with very slightly puffed sleeves.

The cardigan is covered with ‘oblongs’ of alternating knit and purl to give an elongated checkerboard effect and the finished garment is then decorated with embroidered flowers in each of the rectangles.
The sleeves are short, reaching around half-way between the elbow and the shoulder, and the garment stops at waist-length with a waistband. The cardigan is fastened with 6 buttons.
