Niña
Worked in a mohair/silk blend and with vertical openworks pattern on the fronts, the girl’s cardigan is light as a feather. It is worked top down, with set in sleeves worked simultaneously as described by Barbara Walker. No sewing is required. The method is closely related to raglan sleeves but instead of increasing on both bodice and sleeves, increases are only made on the sleeve side. Stitches are picked up for front and neck band. The openwork pattern is written out and has charts for six sizes from 2 to 12 years.
