New Yarnartist's Granny Scarf
This scarf began its life as my attempt to duplicate a scarf I saw on a television program, Nurse Jackie, and was originally published in 2009 as Yarnartist’s Granny, named because as the artist, you have the option of painting the Granny Squares any way you wish and because I love my Granny. She was the one who ignited my love of handwork when I was a child and I think of her often as I work.
As written, yarn required is 1 ball worsted weight variegate and 2 skeins worsted weight coordinating solid
Dimensions
One Granny Square = 5 and a smidge inches square
Scarf = approx 10.5” x 54”
For a longer or wider scarf, add more squares. (You will need more yarn)
Motifs could also be used to make a stunning baby blanket.
