“This collar is a pleasant-smelling herbal alternative to stinky commercial flea collars made with harsh chemicals. It’s filled with dried pennyroyal, thyme, and wormwood, a time-honored mixture with natural flea-repellant properties. Because the herbs need to be fresh, these collars are not washable or refillable. You’ll need to make a new one each season. If your dog is exposed to fleas frequently (walks in the woods will do it), try treating this collar with essential oils, too. Just take off the treated collar when you get home, before your dog settles down on your favorite armchair.”

This collar is created using double knitting.

Materials:

1 ball Crazy Cotton OR 1 ball Catania Color

2 3/4-in D-rings

Herbs: 2 parts pennyroyal, 1 part thyme, 1 part wormwood--mixed together.
