Never Say Never
Never Say Never came from my nephew’s request for a scarf. As his only request was that it be blue, I was free to make it however I wanted.
This was a plus, as I don’t really enjoy making scarves. My requirements were that the scarf had to be reversible, have just enough patterning, and allow me to stop when I wanted.
Never Say Never uses garter stitch and ribbing to create reversible cables.
Yarn
Suitable for any weight of yarn.
Needles
Use needles suitable for the chosen yarn and desired gauge. I suggest using the size indicated on the ball band as a starting point.
Gauge
Whatever works for you. To check, cast on 6 stitches and knit 6 rows. This will give you an idea of the fabric and the number of stitches to cast on.
Size
Completely adjustable. The minimum width is 1 cable repeat and stitch counts are given for up to 5 cable repeats. Directions for further adjustments are included.
Grey/brown scarf shown with 1 cable repeat. Blue scarf shown with 2 cable repeats.
