Netherwood
Errata: page 3, “At the same time, work all charts as set for 7 (7, 11, 11, 11, 11, 11, 12, 12) more rows” should read “At the same time, work all charts as set for 8 (8, 12, 12, 12, 12, 12, 12, 12) more rows.”
Yardage requirements: 9 (10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17) skeins of GMS Weekend Wool, or 1275 (1375, 1500, 1625, 1725, 1850, 2000, 2150, 2300) yds of comparable yarn.
Netherwood is a sweater with a fresh take on traditional forms. Garter stitch borders frame beautiful stitch patterns, raglan shoulders draw the eye up to the face, and unusual cuff and yoke treatments make this interesting and fun to knit.
This sweater is named for my high school in Rothesay, New Brunswick in Canada. I often thought about the school’s hunter green uniforms while I was knitting it, and also think the twisted stitch patterns were so like the Victorian Gothic trim on so many of those great old buildings.
Notions: 2 cable needles, removable stitch markers, scrap yarn or stitch holders for underarm sts, 8 buttons.
