Nete beanie
Nete was one of the three daughters of Apollo, and the name of the lowest of the seven notes of the lyre.
The Nete beanie begins with a tubular cast on, which makes the cast on edge neat and stretchy, although instructions are provided for the long tail cast on method as well. The brim is worked in a 2x2 rib that flows into a beautiful cable pattern. Finish the hat by adding a pompom.
Size
One size
For head circumferences of 54–58 cm / 21–23 inches
Finished circumference: 48 cm / 19 inches

Yarn
Note: The hat uses a strand of fingering weight yarn held together with a strand of lace weight yarn, but they can be substituted for a single strand of DK weight yarn. If you wish to work a DK weight version, omit all the instructions where it says “hold the yarns together” and follow only the yarn amount requirements for the fingering weight yarn.
