Nest Vest
ABOUT
A squishy and cozy garter stitch vest, dotted with buttons. Nest vest is worked in all-over garter stitch with I-Cord edging worked during the main knitting, for minimal finishing. The rounded neckline is mirrored by the curved hem, all done by simple increases and decreases. The pattern includes options for 4 lengths and has a fade made up of 4 colours. The vest can also be worked in a single colour. Buttonholes are optional and can be places on either side of the vest to suit you. The vest can be worked in fingering weight held double or DK weight (the sample was worked in DK weight).

EASE
This vest can fit however you like. I knit the sample to fit the intended wearer with 0 to 2 inches of positive ease. When selecting a size, I would encourage you to think about how you like things to fit your own body. If you like a closer-fitting garment, choose a Finished Chest Circumference with -2 to 0 inches of negative ease. If you like a looser-fitting garment, choose a Finished Chest Circumference with 2 or more inches of positive ease, or if you plan to wear layers underneath. Consider the other dimensions as well, especially armhole drop, to target your ideal fit.
YARN REQUIREMENTS
Your yardage will depend on your gauge, size and yarn chosen. These are estimates based on testing.
Fingering weight held double or DK weight
All yardages are given in yards (Y) & metres (M) in photos for 4 lengths.
FOR FINGERING WEIGHT: these are the numbers of each strand, so you will need to double these numbers for the total yardage of each colour.
FOR DK WEIGHT: all yardages given in photos are complete
